nude beach scene

I saw this movie some on our home VCR from 1989 into the early 1990s and really liked it (it is on my top 100 favorite movies list), and have not seen it in over a decade, but hope to on DVD this summer (and in fact need to this summer, because of this scene). There is a scene in the middle of it that I remember very well when Stacy and Melissa decide to go to a nude beach near the resort they are at, and look through the brush blocking it and are hesitant to go, but then decide to, and you then see them laying fully nude on their stomachs on it sleeping, and they both have dreams. This is the only movie I can recall that has a nude beach in it (though many have more nudity in other settings), but I was just in Miami for two weeks, and on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 I went to Haulover Beach, which is in North Miami Beach and the area's only nude beach. I'd planned to move to Miami, but then decided to return to Charlotte, NC for this summer, and because of monetary issues, but do plan to go back to Miami to live later this summer. I also decided to stay there for two weeks anyway, and had planned for a long time to go to this nude beach, and definitely was going to go to it this weekend while there. I was there for about 90 minuites on Saturday, just sitting and walking (and yes, looking), and returned on Sunday for six hours. This time I walked all over it, put sunscreen lotion on and laid on it, both on my stomach and back, and even went into the ocean five times for quick swims. And on both days I was fully nude the entire time I was on it, which I had planned to be and would not have had it any other way. I plan to go to it frequently when I return to Miami, and this was my first trip to a nude beach, though that is only because there are none in South Carolina, where I had always gone for my summer beach trips from childhood in the early 1970s though 2000. This was my first beach trip at all since June, 2000, and it did have a number of distinctions. It was the first beach trip I took since my mother and grandmother died (July/August, 2000), my first beach trip since becoming a coffeeholic and vegetarian(winter and spring, 2002), and the first time I ever swam at a beach not in South Carolina. In addition, it was the first beach trip where my main reason for going was not to swim in the ocean, which always accounted for about 95% of all my previous ones. It was also, as stated, my first time at a nude beach, and my first time swimming nude. It was also very crowded both days, especially Sunday, with both men and women (and even a few children), and most everyone was fully nude at it, like me. I also often looked while walking on it, mainly at the women, and I had no reservations or bad feelings at all about being out there all that time like that, as being nude is not a problem or issue at all for me; the way I see it, it's just a body. I was glad so many others also apparently felt that way, and I have often wished there was a nude lake beach or camp around here, I'd definitely go some times this summer, and would have before in my years here (but if you know this area, you know that will not happen). But as stated I do plan to return to Haulover Beach frequently when I move back to Miami, as I really liked doing this both of these days. In this movie I guess Stacy and Melissa also did (and they both were very pretty, by the way, and could have gotten most men if they wanted them--and would be very welcome at Haulover Beach). But if any IMDB users read this, please state if you have ever been to a nude beach (Haulover or elsewhere-the one in this movie was near Los Angelas), if you liked it, and if you have never been would you go if got the opportunity, and do you want to go?

There was another thing about this movie I have recently thought about. Stacy and Mellisa go to the health resort in early June, and remain there for about a month (apparently until early July). Early in the movie it is revealed Mellisa is a kindergaten teacher, so that easily explains how she is able to be off all this time (they are off from early June until mid August for the summer). It is never clearly revealed what Stacy does as a career, though I think it was in marketing and public relations. She would not have been off all during June and the summer with this, but she is there nearly the entire time. Thus, I thought she probably had alot of vacation time saved up from previous years (she was young and career orientated), and just added that to this year's and was able to take a month plus off. She did, I recall, rent a car and leave briefly late in the movie for a work emergency, but came back about a day later, so that probably explains this with her (though as I said it is obvious with Mellisa).

If I remember this movie correctly, I believe Stacy was a cook in a restaurant. As for how long they were at the resort, I think it was only supposed to be for a week but Stacey came home early. Yes a lot of things happened in that week!

Actually, I do remember Stacy being a cook in it, but after I thought about it I remembered it was in one of her flashback scenes when she was younger. She was with a man who was a cook, having a fling with him. She never did that herself as a career, I do think she was in marketing as stated. and I think they were there for a month, not just a week. But thanks alot for the reply, noone had come on here since I wrote this, and it was good to get a response.

That's interesting but the reason I thought Stacey was still a cook was when she was in her apt with the guy she met at the Spa and she wanted an excuse to get away from him she said: "there's an emergency in the kitchen and I have to go into work"! But she heads back to the Spa instead in the rented car.

If you liked the nude beach scene in "Casual Sex?" then you should have seen the one in "Blame It on Rio" with Michelle Johnson and Demi Moore!

Thanks for posting this mvp822. I just saw it on Thursday when I came back on here because it was Lea Thompson's birthday, and I never saw Blame it on Rio. But after reading this I did go on its board, and I do remember hearing about that movie in the mid 1980s (it was one of a number of teen sex comedies from the early-mid 1980s, the time when I myself was in junior high-high school and a teen!). But from what I read on its board, and what I do remember from alot of the other movies like it from that time, I'm sure it is very good and revealing. And the movie itself seems appealing to me as well (even now, at 39-I still like the others as much as I did in the 1980s), so as soon as I get acess to DVD I'll try to find and watch that movie (for this scene, and the movie in general).

I do hope to see it, but I've got an anniversary situation to add to this now. This movie itself had its 20th anniversary just this April 22, which I'd planned to acknowledge on here and somehow forgot-(uggh!). It was released in theaters on Friday, April 22, 1988. But tommorrow is also the 20th anniversary of when I drove from our house to the Myrtle Beach, SC area to stay with relatives at their rented beach house for 2 1/2 days (Wednesday, June 22 to Friday, June 24, 1988). This was my first beach trip since my final weekly family one from July 20-27, 1985, in 3 years. And it was just like all of those prior to it, in that it was completely dominated by swimming in the ocean. And it would also be last one where this was so dominant, though I did not know it at the time (as felt I'd always continue to love it just like always had). I returned for one day/night in July, 1989, then for day/night trips from 1992-1996, and a few more in the summers of 1998, 1999, and 2000. I did still like doing this during them, but only for a few hours one day and then no more until the next summer. I was then unable to go again after 2000, but did not want to and did not miss it. And I thought beaches were over for me, but then decided to move to Miami/Dade County, and nude Haulover Beach (like the one in this movie, but even better) brought them back, in a very different way, but just as strong as before (maybe even stronger). I was in Dade County and going to this beach regularly from December, 2006 to March, 2008, and did not want to leave (had to). I now don't know if I will go back, as I did not really like Dade County other than Haulover Beach (hope to go to Los Angeles now). But it was truly great, and I did think of this on the 20th anniversary of my last beach trip where ocean swimming would be so great and dominant for me. And in a bit of irony, it was the same year Casual Sex came out, with its nude beach scene (maybe that was meant as a sign that a changing of the guard, beach wise, was taking place for me).

After I went to Haulover Beach near Miami for two days in May, 2006, I moved back to the Miami area in December, 2006 and was there until October, 2007, then moved back to Charlotte, NC for a few months (in an attempt to find a job), which I did get, and then moved back to the Miami area in late January, 2008. I then stayed there until April, 2008, then moved back to Charlotte (again to try to find a job). But then in the summer of 2010 I got disability income, and in September, 2010 got my own apartment. I have since gone back to the Miami area twice for a few days, in December, 2010 and summer, 2012, mainly to go to Haulover Beach. But with this apartment came acess to DVD watching, and one of the DVDs I got was Casual Sex?, which I watched once in March. And during this nude beach scene I noticed it was not actually on a beach, but rather at a lake that was part of the resort they were at. I must have mis noticed that when watching Casual Sex? years ago, or maybe just forgot it, but it did still suprise me. But it still was a good nude beach scene.

Has Andrew Dice Clay ever confirmed or denied the scene of him walking on the beach in that scene right after Lea and Victoria peek through the bushes and one of them says there goes your boyfriend?
Is it him or did he use a body double and who is the guy walking with him he doesn't seem to be listed in the credits?
If the guy walking with him was supposed to be a body double also, who was he a body double for?
