great movie

I really liked this movie. I haven't seen another movie like this quite yet. I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about this film. PS: Lea Thompson has great legs!

I love this movie! I don't understand the low rating. It's just crazy and fun. And true in a lot of places.

I fully agree. I am suprised there are not more topics on its user board, and it in true in alot of areas (including the part of them going to a nude beach). It is on my 100 favorite movies of all time list.

Lea Thompson has great legs? I did't notice. During that nude beach scene, I couldn't stop staring at her bare ass!

reply

I've always liked that beach scene because of the leads' behinds. As for Lea's legs, they seem too thin for my taste; Victoria, however, has the curvy gams. Remember the scene where Jamie is rubbing them before he kisses her? Yes, it is an enjoyable little movie--despite Dice's stupid putz act. When he becomes a nice guy he becomes pretty sympathetic. Isn't the ending so sweet?

I'm pretty surprised as well. I remember when I first saw this movie it was really funny. I expected to see a few more posts about it here. btw, did this movie have a soundtrack? I was trying to find the name of a song that was in the movie but I can't find any info online about the music in the movie. If anyone knows the listing of songs that appears in the movie let me know I'd appreciate it :)

it's underrated! honestly if more people saw this movie the boards would be filled

Right now Victoria Jackson's board is too busy with people responding to her whackjob views on her webshow with three other tea-bagging bubbleheads. This movie was made during a brief period of normalcy between her fundie upbringing and her descent into madness.

You sound more like a fundamentalist than she ever could. Burn the witch, right?

reply

No, don't burn the witch. She still has her freedom of speech, and with that comes the response. And make no mistake, she ain't complaining. It's the most attention she's gotten since her SNL days.

Its a lovely film. I saw it on TV in August 1989 in Kissimmee, Florida. It was raining all day, so stayed indoors........upon reflection, it was better than Disneyworld!

I love Lea Thompson ( one of her biggest fans), and agree with Victoria Jackson's politics ( maybe the only Saturday Night Live star without a left wing political point of view.
