Reportedly, during post-production, actor Chevy Chase said to director Allan Arkush, "Call me when you've dubbed the laugh-track" and then walked away disgusted.

I really doubt this actually happened, especially given Chevys willingness to accept ANY script and role as we've seen all around this film.

That would make 3 Christmas' I've saved, vs. 8 that I've ruined; two were kind of a draw..

Well, whether or not it happened at all, that piece denotes that it was reported somewhere.

I dunno -- it kind of seems like a "source close to a source who knows a source...."
you know, that kind of BS just to drum up some drama.

I can believe that. That seems like something Chevy would say. And yes, Chevy is the kind of person who would take a job just for the easy paycheck, then make a comment like that.
