Why Rated 'R'?

Could you tell me why this movie is Rated R? I'd like to see it, because I love Phil Collins, but I want to know what kind of content I'd be running into first.

Watched it last night for the first time in about 14/15 years. I think there were three "f-bombs" and some topless poolside women (towards the end). Nothing really offensive.

As for the film, watching it again I thought it stood up well, though Julie Walter's character annoyed me (her acting was fine).

7/10 Collins is a much better actor than he is a singer/songwriter.

I gave it 7/10 also. I was pleasantly surprised by Collin's performance; I liked his music in the '70s, but can't say I care for what he did to Genesis and beyond.

Regarding the rating, this is an extremely soft R, kind of surprising giving the light tone of the picture. Really, this film would have been fine without the nudity and f-bombs (though they weren't over the top).

I agree that Julie Walters' character was poorly written, which seems typical of the wife role in many movies. Decent performance, though.

Nah, he was good at both---he wouldn't have been such a huge pop star (with or without Genesis) here in the U.S. during the '80's if he wasn't a talented-singer-songwriter to begin with---he and Genesis owned pop radio during that decade.
