Great

This movie is perfect really. An original vision produces an original film with a feel and texture like no other. Romantic about baseball and love while never being sentimental or predictable or maudlin. Very well drawn, 3D characters that are very appealing. Great writing, and it's probably Costner's best performance ever. His affectless drawl that is so annoying in many of his films slips into this part like a glove and he seems so at ease. Don't know if it's the greatest sports film ever but it's in there pitching (sorry).
