15,000 Amerasian children are still trapped in Vietnam

Eye-roll when this appears at the end of the movie. Guess what? - most mixed race kids are probably contented to stay in their native country where they grew up, not to be rescued and taken to that other superior place. Maybe in 1988 things were different, but to imply that just because someone was fathered by an American GI overseas that they are somehow "trapped" in their country of birth - what a load of flag-waving crap.

Just finished watching it again for first time in years and completely agree - use of the word 'trapped' is deplorable. At least the rest of the film is comic book violence but that final statement plays it straight.
