Who is the most at fault?

After watching the movie it was really hard to sympathize for either of the characters because both of them were so incredibly stupid!

In reality though Linda pissed me off more, because when her husband FINALLY quit and went back to having a low paying job and trying to have a happy life she started whining and complaining about wanting to move BACK to LA to hang out with friends and go party again. THEN she calls those same bad-influence friends who Lenny was trying to avoid since he knew he had huge problems (and he was CLEAN and didn't even drink either, since he knew he was predisposed to being an addict) who come and hang out when Lenny is busy at work. What a selfish b----. Oh, and lets not forget that her, being what 7/8 months PREGNANT decides on snorting around 6 lines of cocaine ultimately murdering their baby. After that moment is when Lenny starts going completely craycray again.

Sorry, but she totally deserves getting her a$$ beat after that...

Just saw the movie last night. I was very upset with her. However, HE first introduced her to cocaine.
It is sort of like Days of Wine and Roses in reverse. One partner gets past their drug problem and has to leave the other behind.

To your immediate point, 7/8 months pregnant and snorting coke???? Idiot!!!

The biggest mistake women like this make is not leaving as soon as the abuse starts. They say they "love" them. Learn to love yourself first.

After that beating, her marriage to Lenny had to end and she needed to get help.

I wouldn't agree with the OP that she "totally deserves getting her a$$ beat," but Linda was definitely at fault as much as Lenny

Roger Ebert put it this way:

“I’ve got the problem,” he says. “Linda was only keeping me company.” Linda thinks the same thing, and so when the car-wash king and his wife visit her at the beach, she tries a line of cocaine, gets stoned, falls down some stairs and has a miscarriage.

Put simply, they BOTH had problems and weaknesses, not just Lenny. Pretending that it was JUST Lenny is what made it easy for Linda to screw up so badly.
