The Evil Stew Encounter

I remember learning in high school chemistry how environmental reactivity is gauged by acid-base flows which effectively create a solubility/viscosity 'colloid' or super-gel matrix.

That's what makes the Blob creature/monster so spooky. It flows and oozes and it terrorizes.

I like this modern version best, and it simply invites me to ponder the artistic value of relevant congruent goo-paranoia comic book avatars such as Clayface (DC Comics), a nemesis of the valiant caped crusader Batman, who can shape-shift and make instantaneous weapons with his body which is made of weird, soft clay.

If you like movies such as "The Toxic Avenger" (1984) and "Iron Man" (2008), then you'll love "The Blob" (1988)!

How eerie is the dishwashing scene?
