Bird part 1

I first saw this movie in 1988 when it was released. I always liked it. From a entertaining point of view. But Forest doesn't act or look like Charlie but that's not it. I finally after 27 years understand this movie takes place between 1949 thru 1955. These were the Red Chan and Verve years. The end of his career. I liked the Bird from 1944 with Dizzy to 1948 with Miles. That's where BeBop was born along with Monk. But that whole essential most important of his music the Savoy and Dial years and his stay at Camarillo is not in this movie. So they should make a sequel. Maybe 85 year old Clint can direct it. That's the Charlie we want to know about. This film is after all that when his career was just a mess like this film in a way. But again I like it as a Jazz entertaining story based on Charlie Parker, but it seems this was fiction based on fact.
