So Pee Wee was straight?

In the first movie, Dotty asks him out many times.Pee Wee blows her off and then acts like a jerk off to Dotty when she tried to help him. So going back to big top Pee Wee, I find it strange that two beautiful women in the town want anything to do with Pee Wee. Weren't there other available men?

Because I believe Pee-Wee was supposed to be more adult in this movie, whereas in Big Adventure, he wasn't so much into girls. He didn't want to be tied down, apparently. Or maybe he thinks Dotty is too geeky or that she comes on too strong. Who can say for sure?

I always found Pee Wee to be sort of a repressed man-child of a character. He's almost asexual in his other film and tv-show, as a result of having a repressed child-like mindset. I never thought he came off as gay, so much as completely disinterested in Big Adventure. Although the character in Big Top seems to be a more grown-up variation, hence he's almost coming out of his proverbial romantic shell.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

He is bisexual.

I actually thought it was a mistake to have Pee-Wee Herman acting that sexual and to give him two girlfriends, it didn't jibe with the persona from "Big Adventure" and "Playhouse".

But then, Hollywood can't conceive of a movie without sexual relationships, except for the occasional war movie.

It seemed normal....

I never got that Pee Wee was gay, even in the first film. He's more like a man/child than anything - kind of like Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory.
