Favourite Tom moment

Tough choice - Tom flipping burning playing cards into a top hat? Tom standing in a bath singing 'Innocent When You Dream'? "Wanna buy a watch?"

That is all.

it's kind of hard to pick just one but i really love the one where he punches his pillow causing feathers to fly, then they cut to the stage where he's catching feathers in his hat. also, all of 'raindogs' and 'down in the hole.'

As far as actual tracks go, 'Cold Call Ground' is a highlight. "This is the story of a little guy, lives in a little house..."

That is all.

Would it be fair to say them all??? :) Way down in the hole is my personal favourite - both song and performance.

I liked the bit when he was flicking cards into the hat. I love Strange Weather for performance thrill, and that evangelical bit he did.

Dear God, why do You shackle me with *politicians*?

reply

It's not a favourite moment per se, but I read somewhere that Tom was brokenhearted when he saw the finished film: "I always thought I looked like James Bond on stage..."

Cracks me up.

This thread's only a year old, but I'd have to say that my single favorite moment is him doing "9th and Hennepin"......and as they zoom out you see he's standing under a flaming umbrella. That was awesome. :)

reply

"sh'loves me; sh'love... eagghh. ...got one, lost one..."

-"9TH AND HENNEPIN" with the flaming umbrella.
-Making all the pistol and shotgun noises during "SIXTEEN SHELLS FROM A THIRTY-OUGHT SIX".
-The Civil War soldier story right before "TRAIN SONG".
-The part during "TELEPHONE CALL FROM ISTANBUL" where he throws two in the hat and then misses one: "She loves me... she loves me... ooh... she left me."
