the only reason to watch tom berenger (especially in the 80's) is cause he was soooo super HOT!!! if i was that female fbi agent, i could overlook a few lil flaws like hunting humans, white supremecy....etc. after all nobodys perfect. and who knew that ted levine could be so scary? the rest of these guys could be right outta mayberry. and frasiers dad was just as sweet as ever. good movie- tom berenger could make watching almost anything enjoyable.

I'm not usually the type to make shallow comments on someone's luck in the genetic lottery, BUT.... I agree! They are BOTH so hot in this movie! I've always loved John Heard and Tom is so handsome in this movie. Plus he fleshed out his character so well that you didn't outright hate him.
Anyway- nice chemistry with Tom & Debra made him even hotter! :)

But that is the part of what makes being a human being so complex. People aren't just all good or all bad. It makes him, in my mind, more tragic that he wasn't all evil and had moments of lucidity - moments where you could actually admire him a bit- only to be usurped by moments where he was irrational and behaved completely without shame. It's part of what makes the movie seem more real. I personally know people that I think are wonderful, and yet have qualities that are shameful in any light. People are complex and very weird! :)
