Acting Badly

It was a bad car wreck, and I had to watch. I found every character annoying except Bridget. Everyone treated her horribly except her mother-in-law. Her husband is a philanderer. Her daughter is selfish and vain. Her flatmates are distracted and are too absorbed with their own lives to care about others. I'm on the fence with Giles. Serafina is a murderer who fancies a gay guy. All loose ends are miraculously tied up neatly in less than two minutes. Every character was shallow and stood in the shadow of Dame Judi Dench. What a poor cast! They couldn't keep up her!
