Does anyone else cry every time?

I've seen it a million and a half times, but I cry every time I watch it.

I've seen it a million and a half times as well and I still cry every single time.

I was serving tables at the restaurant I worked at a few months back and the wind beneath my wings came on. I was pouring this old man some coffee and he was making small talk and it came to the chorus and I started crying right there. He stopped midsentence and said, "Yeeeah, ol' Bette sure knows how to pull on the heart strings." Haha.

Omg so do I. I have seen this movie at least 10 times and every single time I cry. It along with Steel Magnolias is one of the most beautiful, touching female friends movies i've ever seen.

reply

I don't just shed a tear, I bawl.. seriously

reply

I do, as well. For some reason, a line that really kills me is when Hillary has lost consciousness in the beach house toward the end. She is on the floor and Victoria finds her. She runs to her mom, panicked, and is saying, "Mom! Mom! Wake up! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!" Even just thinking about it makes me tear up.

reply

That scene wasn't set at the beach house. Hilary collapsed in Victoria's bedroom at their family home in Atherton California just before Victoria was supposed to leave to join CeeCee for her concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

reply

It doesn't really matter, does it? Viewers of the movie know the scene I'm talking about.

That part always gets me weeping too.
What I had wondered though, was WHY didn't she know what to do! Didn't they prepare her if her mom passed out?

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

that scene indeed encapsulates some of the most powerful stuff to be found in any movie anywhere.. your heart breaks for the little girl in such a visceral way that you can't help but bawl.. there's nothing more painful to witness than a young child's despair! totally raw emotion right there!

the other scene that makes me lose it every single time is when little victoria asks cc: 'if I come [live] with you, can I bring my cat?' to which cc replies: 'sweetie, you can bring any old thing you want.'

it wasn't the fall from her 16th-floor penthouse that killed her, it was the landing

reply

Of course I do! I'm a complete waterfall when it comes to this movie!!!!!!!!

reply

The funeral scene always gets me crying.

Obi-Wan is my hero!

reply

The scene that makes me cry is the one AFTER she dies and C.C hugs the little girl and says she can live with her.
