Not pit bull :[ I'm so sick of people calling Baxter a "pit bull"... Agghhh... HOW do people even get those two breeds mixed up ?!! Unless they're blind or something. Bull terriers are so obviously, dramatically blatantly different to pit bulls.

Mad,Bad And Dangerous To Know...
Here in the UK Pit Bulls are illegal. Baxter is a bull terrier which are legal in the UK, I should know, I have two. :-)
sharepit bulls were produced by breeding a variety of terriers(including the bull terrier) and english bulldogs(more like american bulldogs today). what is accepted as an english bulldog today is nothing but a diseased dog. in the 1900's EB's were athletic powerful dogs and looked more like american bulldogs of today. anyone who doesn't know their dog breeds will easily mistake a pitbull for any of the 30+ "bully" type breeds.

Perhaps because "Pit Bull" is not a specific breed, but spans several breeds including American bull and Staffordshier terriers.
Maybe if the Spudz Mackenzie commercials were still airing people wouldn't be so confused. :)
They didn't say pit bull in the movie, they said bull terrier.
