Any animals hurt in the film?

Watched it last night and I am 100% sure no animals were hurt. Baxter isn't biting the rat he is licking it and when Baxter is being beaten the director uses various "trick" camera angles.
"Who's driving this plane? Stan Butler?"
Not sure about the rats, but what about the fight with the other dog? It seemed to me that the other dog bit Baxter. Also, when the kid is throwing things to Baxter, I think some of them hit him. Anyway, it was a very good movie.
shareYeah. Definitely some degree of animal harm. Those two dogs definitely went for each other, I imagine they were set upon each other and quickly broken up before any serious harm occurred.
