Did you notice any 'gayish' tension between the pilots?

I'm surprised no one commented on this.
Did anyone else think that Glover's and hair-band pilot's friendship had a slight "gayish" undertone? I'm sure this was completely unintentional, though. They occasionally tend to overact a bit and I think the occasionally weird tone was the side-affect of that.
