Everything I've read points to an 04/12 release.
The trailers have me drooling...

I saw it at night film festival in Copenhagen. Its pretty well done visually, but why did they have to use so much money on a remake of a manga from the mid-eighties. I mean, seriously. It's been ripped off more times than Star wars.
Everyone in the audience had seen at least one element in the film before somewhere else.
Espesially what the Island took from it.
