Adrian's Final Transformation

In the final scene, we see Adrian dressed in Jack's leather jacket, and walking out of his theater, which he has transformed into a successful business by showing pornography instead of classic films.

Was it meant to be implied that he fully "becomes" Jack by becoming a murderer as well (i.e. continuing Jack's serial killings)?

I've been wondering that myself. What about and update? "Apartment Zero" 20 years later?

I don't know but thank you for explaining why all the people who exited the theater were male. I can't believe I didn't get that!

It seemed strange to me there were a lot of couples, tho porn theater doesn't really make a good "date night"- usually a solo affair.... Sorry, jus' sayin'... He didn't care any more if any one could play the "three actors" game.

On the small TV screen is difficult to see that it has become a porno house

I don't think the ending should be interpreted so literally. In the DVD comments, they say that Adrian is more a symbolic figure representing the country, so his transformation should be viewed as a metaphor, a comment on some political situation in Argentina - but i am not sure how to read it since i know little about the Argentinian history and i didn't have enough patience to watch the film with comments in full. Probably. it's about transition from the idealistic past to some new period where the ideals of old are betrayed and compromised

I have seen this movie several times and never once thought it was pornography that Adrian was showing. I just thought it was just updated to show more modern films. Interesting take though.
