Great Ending Homage

i love the ending where she is reading the book and it brings back the memory of when she was with Hackman and to a time when she was happy, it very much reminds me of the ending of Bergman's Cries and Whispers

you mentioned the most obvious (to me) comparison that i was thinking about, which was sitting atadesk in the office. i also must confess i havent seen Wild Strawberries in almost three years, i really must watch my copy of it again!
I do love Woody Allen, i have seen i think all of his films except September which i also have an unwatched copy of. Anyway i think there are other films that i more easily identify with Wild Strawberries, one is Deconstructing Harry which is about a writer going on an odyssey of sorts to go be congratulated, also there is the superior Stardust Memories which is basically a combination of 8 1/2 and Wild Strawberries, a director going to be congratulated at a film fest of his own films, and stops off at lots of different places and is pretty much half dream film.
