Green!

Everyone, every scene, (so far, 50 minutes in) is wearing green and or/with subdued beige, etc. It is so glaring it made me distracted, because it is so unreal. I realize this is art, but what was Woody Allen saying with the green? It's hard to watch, between the wardrobe and the background colors. I'm sure there is a reason, but I can't see it. Btw, my favorite color is green.
Edit: I can just hear Woody Allen telling the wardrobe designer "I want green...on everyone." Lol.. I can imagine him doing it to call attention to the acting, rather than the wardrobe, but for me it has the opposite effect. Maybe because it is almost 30 years later, I don't know. But obviously I am distracted enough to make comments on this board, rather than watch the movie.

He was pretty obvious with the use of color when trying to be Very Very Serious, back then.

In Interiors, everything (except Maureen Stapleton's clothes) was beige, tan, taupe, and gray (with a bit of black).

Yeah the color, or lack there of, in this production is more than painfully obvious. Kind of suffocating which may be the intent. The stepdaughter at least got to wear a muted pink jacket, briefly.
