SO dated!

When I first saw this, it was so awesome to see James Caan on the big screen after a five plus year absence (I didn't include the Coppola flop Gardens of Stone). And the way it depicted a 3 years into the future Los Angeles subculture of aliens that favor a blue hue.

Since the early 90's this movie has been forgotten about. If it had been set at least another decade in the future it would have been more alluring.

You think this movie is forgotten because of what decade it's set in, LOL?

Your subject also has nothing to do with your post.

I mean, it's dated because it's an 80s movie with an 80s vibe. Even though it was set "in the future" 90s...94 I believe, going by the opening reading of the film.

There was this Emmerich movie made in 2009, called 2012, which was horribly dated in 2013...

I don't think a movie is dated only because the predicted time was wrong. Even Kubrick failed then with 2001...
