Zombie bites only affect some?

Somebody please explain this to me...

when the 2 guys and the woman are in the cave reading the Book of the Dead, and the Zombies come out and get them... the woman and one guy get eaten alive, and the remaining guy gets bitten a few times and runs away...

WHY DOESN'T HE TURN INTO A ZOMBIE??? I couldn't get over that, one of the girls with the Mercinaries gets bitten on the ear/cheek and she turns into a Zombie nearly right away, but this guy got bit one day, spent the night with the Mercs, and when it's daylight the next day he still isn't even showing signs of turning into a zombie.

You might want to look at that scene again, Chuck was scratched only not bit.

Yea, upon futhur revision I guess you are correct... Although I had to watch very closly to see that... there is a zombie on the right side of the screen that looks like he's biting him and only when I watched it closly could I tell that he was just grabing at him...
