Just watched AJ for the first time last now and now, as a result, am horribly and painfully in love with Vanity circa 1986 - 1988.
Damn it hurts this morning.
She was a good enough actress, and a good enough singer. But the thing that makes her poke yourself in the eye, boot your own forehead amazing is her sheer charisma, personality, elan, grace.
I realise that the goddess formerly known as Vanity has her reasons for turning her back on her past, but s**t, she was incredible. Isn't it possible that one can concurrently follow their god and make peace with the road they have travelled.

yeah I remember Vanity in this movie,, and all you can say is WOW... totally amazing and gorgeous young woman,, for her time .

She was extremely beautiful in this movie. It's just messed up her character was on heroin and needed a fix all the time, but shill gorgous!!!!
