shareIt could also mean bad luck or something that is not true. I do not know why anyone would name their child Hoax? The way todays society is they love to create unique names to be different. Look at some of the people in Hollywood. They are naming their kids some unique names that are different.

Very true about that. They could have been much more creative with a name for the character who played Hoax. Unless he was not suppose to be born and he was a curse is a possible theory on that and therefore is why he was named Hoax.
