How much is cut from the DVD when compared to the VHS?

Is there alot missing on the DVD? Haven't seen this since it played on the USA Network 15 years ago. I'd like to check it out again but not on some cut up DVD.

A lot of Sandy Dennis' meeting with the reporter are gone including a funny scene when she opens the freezer and tons of fish come pouring out.

I noticed that. What else is missing from the DVD?

I just saw that movie on Friday because I purchased the DVD and I saw all of those parts in the film.

Hey drhackenstine I just purchased the DVD last Friday and I am not sure how much of it is cut out of the film since it has been a long time since I have seen it myself.

Have you checked out the new website that I created for USA UP ALL NIGHT yet? If you have not then the name of the group is usaupallnight.

Please vote on the plls because I have it on there drhackenstine and right now with 30 people voting it is at right now 93.75% for the old programming for USA Network and only 2 people have voted for both the old USA Network programming and the for the new programming that is ran by NBC. They would like to see the mixture of the old and new. It is at 6.25% right now. So in total 32 votes have been conducted and no one likes the new programming of USA Network ran by NBC. It is at 0% and so is no one liking neither at 0%.

I just thought that I would let you know about it.

I saw it on the Horror Channel on Sky and the fridge scene didn't occur. Liked the first half of the film but the second left me feeling a bit weird. Hmmm.

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

I realize this post is ancient but to answer your question- The dvd contains the 92 minute theatrical cut that is 8 mins shorter than the 100 minute vhs release. The version you watched on tv was heavily cut and contained alternative takes with toned down dialogue so the DVD contains a far better cut than the one you saw.

No idea what's different in the TV version, but the VHS version was superior to the DVD cut. Some of the footage is just extra establishing shots, but there were quite a few humorous scenes as well as additional character development that got the axe. Here's the deleted scenes duped from a German DVD release (oddly, one scene features German dubbing):

And a comprehensive breakdown of the differences between the theatrical and extended VHS versions can be found here:
