I can't believe how low this is rated. I gave it a 7, mostly because a lot of the writing is a little easy and formulaic, but Burns is wonderful as is Charlie Schlatter. It's a cute movie.
I agree. Only recently watched it for the first time and the plot wasn't too original (though obviously I knew this before watching) but it was much better than I expected it to be. The casting was great, the two main actors especially.
Overall I think it deserves at least a rating of 6.
I wanted to go see this movie when it came out back in 1988 when I was 16 years old. I still think it is a good movie to watch and I watched it for the first time since it came out in the late 80's. I caught it on Encore Family a few weeks ago. It is almost close to a month ago now. I voted a 10 for this film.
I know exactly what you mean about that because I do love films from the 80's. Some people would call it low budget films from the 80's or cheesiness. LOL That is what I loved about the 80's and then I found USA UP ALL NIGHT and began to watch films like that myself Kittysafe.
I love the 80s. My favorite decade and I love cheesy films too. The 5 rating is really low though even if you aren't a fan of movies like this. It really wasn't that bad.
