This movie is like a cross between ...

" Back To School " meets " Freaky Friday " . Both excellent movies like this one of course . Did anyone else here think so ? What other great movies are like " 18 Again " ( the whole body swapping storyline ) ?

Body swapping movies are a favorite genre for me. They always end up making an entertaining movie. If you haven't already, check out:

Vice Versa: (1988, A mysterious oriental skull transforms a father into his son, and vice versa.)

Like Father Like Son: (1987, A mysterious potion switches the personalities of a buttoned up doctor and his laid back son.)

of course "Big" is a classic.

Thanks Kriller1 for the movie recommendations and your reply . I haven't seen " Vice Versa " from 1988 in so long I had almost forgotten about it lol . The movie " Big " was excellent . I don't think I ever saw " Like Father Like Son " from 1987 will have to check that one out soon . I agree these Body swapping movies are quite entertaining , fun , and usually have a happy ending as well .

I remember being 15 years old when I went to see Like Father Like Son. I enjoy films as well like this. :)

This is a great film to watch and I loved it. Another example of 18 Again was Like Father Like Son which starred Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron when he was still a teenage idol due to Growing Pains. You may want to try that ms-zanadu.

Thanks so much RobBase086-1 for your replies and on my subject posts it's never too late to reply either . Fashionably late is cool as well lol . I will have to look out for this movie on cable soon . They have been showing a lot of the 1980's movies recently too so I may be in luck . Seems like a great all star cast too .

reply

You are welcome! Glad that I can help you out. Yes that I'd good that they are showing a lot of the 80's films. I wish that someone would create a network dedicated to the 80's or show movies like USA Network would do.

reply

That would be awesome RobBase086-1 . I'm hoping for a channel dedicated to 1980's films and TV Shows too . Let's keep our fingers crossed on that one fine day cable TV will do just that lol .

reply

Yes but the problem also is that now a lot of us who grew up in the 80's or were teenagers the major networks no longer focus on us but the demographics of the teenagers on up to 35 year olds.

It would be great to see the programming and movies we grew up with to be honest with you.

reply

As someone else pointed out though, this isn't really a body swap movie since George Burns technically never becomes a teen.

Very good. But brick not hit back!

Yeah.
