This program is about Unsolved Mysteries....

.....Whenever possible, the actual family members and police officials have participated in recreating the events. What you are about to see is not a news broadcast.

God I loved this show when I was a kid, and I would eagerly wait until Wednesday nights at 8pm to watch it on NBC. Wish they would release the Robert Stack era on DVD

God, I got chills reading that. I watched this show from episode #1 onward. Its importance to reality t.v. is sinfully under-rated.

The pink disclaimer was the BEST. It's embedded in my brain to this day as well as '1-800-876-5353'.

Yep. Most fans don't realize the internet put an end to unsolved mysteries and Unsolved Mysteries. The only show that comes close was "Disappeared," which also changed narrators. "Disappeared" has a narrator these days more appropriate to World Wresting reporting, but it concentrates entirely on what Unsolved Mysteries called "Missing." The two most frightening categories on UM were "Unexplained Deaths" and "Missing."

The "Lost Loves" would be solved today online. They're the saddest stories to watch all these years later, knowing that most of the ones without "Updates" probably saw the seeker go to his/her grave never finding the Lost Love.

I agree about the show Disappeared. I thought the first narrator was much better and really enjoyed the original version. Nowhere near as much as the Robert Stack Unsolved Mysteries but still good.
