Im in the UK and I remember this show from when I was a kid. It was on at 5:30am, yes AM!!, on ITV. I used to get my Dad to set the video to record it for me. I have fond memories of this show, thats why I have ordered it from playusa.com. I shall hopefully receive it the day after tomorrow. What a weekend it will be!!!

The only memory I had was...Superboy flying off the Bridge in title sequences, then him doing his bit in basketball hall. That's it...but...my new Superboy region 1 arrived today. Wahooooo!!!

shareIt had an early evening slot for a while on a Saturday early evening then was just was no more and like you say, inhabited a ridiculous 5:30am slot! Back then series always just seemed to up and leave or change without explanination, Battlestar Galactica changing to Galactica 1980 and Airwolf from String Hawk to his brother without so much as an explanation as to wtf is going on and why....1980s were mad! lol

Superboy was also broadcast on the first incarnation of Sky 2 in the late 90s usually at about 7:00pm monday to friday.
The good thing about it being shown on Sky was at least they broadcast every episode.Unlike ITV Anglia region back in the late 80s where they only aired a handfull of episodes at random times before sticking it in the grave yard slot.
