Mr. Myxzptylk

I hope I spelt it right, but Superboy was the only live-action version to have Mr Myxzptylk, the imp from the fourth dimension, who can only be thwarted by being tricked into saying his name backwards.

I know he is a cheesy villian, and didn't fit the tone of most of the movies, but it was good to see how and who would portray him outside of cartoons.

Also, great casting to have him played by Michael J. Pollard, who looks exactly like him from the comics.

So, what do you think of Myxzptylyk, did you like him on this show, and would you like him to appear in any of the movies?

Lois & Clark featured Howie Mandel as Myxzptlk... Smallville also had a 'in Name' appearance in season 4 if I recall

But yeah, Pollard was almost a perfect Visual casting for the Comics of the era

What's weird is, I was just watching an old movie with Michael J. Pollard today and I said something about this guy reminding me of the character Mxyzptlk from Superman. I looked him up and sure enough, I see he played him in this series. I do not remember this series at all! Then again, I was in the Army during most of the run of this series, and didn't watch much TV then. But I went in in 1989, so I should at least remember the first season.

He was played by Trent Ford on an episode of Smallville without the character's silliness. In that episode he had the power of suggestion and was using it to fix sporting events.
