Dan rages at Becky and Darlene at the end of the Mother's Day episode

I know Becky and Darlene deserved to get bitched out by Dan for treating Roseanne to a day at the Beauty Box for Mother's Day with ulterior motives and what they did was serious but I just wish that episode could have been a 2 parter where we see Becky and Darlene either completely ignore Dan out of feeling treated too unfairly or do something drastic like run away without telling anyone, I don't know, just something to make Dan talk to Becky and Darlene coolly and rationally. Maybe something like:

Dan: (when he comes up to the girls' room and sees them packing suitcases) What are you girls doing this now?

Darlene: Well, Dad, you said you didn't like us, so we've decided we might as well!

Dan: But I never said I didn't like you. I said I didn't like you at that moment. There's a difference

Becky: But, Dad, you were so furious with us when you came up to our room and yelled at us the other night.

Dan: *sighs* Yes, I was furious with you girls but you girls have to remember that a few hours earlier, your mother was thrilled when you took her to the Beauty Box for Mother's Day but when your mother learned what you girls were really up to that day, you really broke her heart.

Darlene: Well, Dad, do you think you'll ever give us another chance to do something nice for Mom for Mother's Day next year?

Dan: Well, I'd like to but that's all up to you girls. Now I know you girls told us so many times before maybe too often that you just made a mistake and you've learned your lesson but now, I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see how much those words are really worth and if you girls start caring more about others than you care about yourselves, then maybe you'll get another chance to do something nice for Mom for Mother's Day next year or me for Father's Day this year or next year for that matter.

Becky: We understand and you know, Dad, I wish we could just go back in time and never have taken Mom to the Beauty Box for Mother's Day with those ulterior motives in the first place.

Dan: Well, it's too late to change what you girls have done in the past but you girls do have the power to change what you do in the present or the future.

Darlene: OK, Dad.

Becky: And we know we should tell Mom this and we will but we really are sorry.

Dan: I know, girls.
