The last season

I've been watching a recent re-run of the entire series and am up to the final season. I didn't really notice until this time around how incredibly *beep* bad it is. It's as though they had completely ran out of any good ideas and were making up the episodes on the fly. They obviously knew the lottery idea was absolute garbage, and thought they'd get away with it by putting the "it never really happened" twist in the last episode. Why Jackie or Roseanne's mum had to be gay I'll never *beep* know, the whole New York high society episode was vomit that even the Ab Fab stars couldn't save, and the storylines in general were just miserable and too much for a sitcom. Sorry if it sounds too un-PC but by this season the show had seemingly turn Roseanne's personal statement on feminism, and had lost its way by thousands of miles.

So is this the general consensus amongst fans or am I in the minority here?

Star Wars is like pizza, even when it's bad it's still pretty good.

It really blows. If you try to watch "Roseambo" and compare it to an episode from the earlier seasons like "House of Grown-Ups", they are two different shows. For some reason, Roseanne herself has always said the final season is her favorite.

Roseambo is the only episode from S9 I have absolutely nothing to do with. The other episodes are terrible but, to a certain extent, watchable. Roseambo is dreadful from start to finish and I haven't watched more than five seconds of it since its original broadcast.

I've read about her defending the final season. Frankly, I believe she's too stubborn to admit it's horrible.

The season's notorious for its horrible writing, plots, and characterizations. I skip it whenever I catch the reruns.

"Black men and a whole lot of *beep* white men have had plenty fun adoring my ass!"

Pretty much anyone with functional eyeballs and ears agrees that the last season was abysmal. I've watched the series through many times, but have only watched the last season twice (first when it originally aired, and again when it came to DVD).

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.
