Can you believe the leader of the gang was this stupid as a child?

Yeah, why did they alter much of the kids' personality?

Fred was the leader in the original series, but here he is clearly the dumbest of the bunch.

Velma was the damsel in distress in the original (ironically, this is not an exaggeration) but here, she is much too quiet and much too smart.

Daphne went from the pretty girl with a voice that's only barely feminine with brains to a rich, snob valley girl accent airhead.

Yeah, seriously, Daphne was always the damsel in distress, Velma has always been the "genius" of the group. I do agree with Fred being kind of stupid in this series but not in any of the others. I still love this series though.
