Blu Ray question

I have owned this on DVD for as long as the medium has existed. Unfortunately disc 2 has decided not to play anymore, and so I am now interested in buying the new Blu Ray version. The problem is that the aspect ratio for this new release is listed as 1.66 for new TVs instead of the 1.33 square format for which the miniseries was made. This suggests that I will be buying a cropped version of the film, which I definitely don't want. Sometimes, however, the company releasing a new widescreen version of an old 4.3 classic has managed to get their hands on a wider pre-release print, in which case we won't be missing any of the actor's waistlines or foreheads as we enjoy the great never-before-seen widescreen print.

Does anyone visiting this board know if this new Blu Ray release features a cropped version or a proper widescreen version of the series?
