this show is inferior to the original

The acting seems off (Grandpa seems okay), it was shot in color instead of black and white (The Munsters SHOULD ALWAYS be in black and white IMO), the new set is awful, and the theme song words are horrible. Also there just seems like there is something very off about Marilyn. She looks and acts younger than she should be I suppose. Not entirely sure.

Although I've so far only watched the first two episodes, I have heard that after season 1 the family no longer considers themselves as normal and everyone else strange. That was one of the best things about The Munsters!

I'm going to watch a few more episodes to see if it improves but I am not holding my breath too much. Maybe I just shouldn't compare it to the original and take it for what it is on its own. But even then this doesn't seem all that great.

I don't normally go onto IMDB forums to bash a show but as a big Munsters fan I had to check out this one and throw in my own two cents on it.

Also I have yet to see any of the high speed gags that The Munsters were famous for having.

This week on How to Fix It, we look at the sequel to one of my favorite spooky Halloween shows.

Well compared to 1313 mockingbird lane it looks like masterpiece theater. So perspective is everything right.

It is kinda an interesting premise--if people from a past era woke up in current day, could they successfully adapt? Still science fiction in it's own right. We have better special effects now even on 'smaller networks' so maybe it would be a hit if it had been done convincingly.
