Childhood Crush

When I was a kid, I had a huge crush on the guy who played Peter in The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Then I got a little bit older and started to have a crush on the guy who played Edmund, but only in Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Then I got a little bit older still and started to have a crush on the guy who played the older Prince Caspian in Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Now I'm older again and there's just no one to have a crush on anymore!!!

Did anyone else have a crush on people in this when they were young?

No... lol :-P

I had (and still have) major hots for the witch.

I suggest you try James M. (Mr. Tumnus) from the new film. A lot of older kids loves him.

I liked Peter, and then the young Caspian (except for when he said DER-warves!), and then the older Caspian.

The Witch LOL!

Look, I think you should watch the new movie. It's a mine of crushes (LOL!). For example, Tilda Swinton is A-MA-ZING! It's odd, but she really is powerfull, and her hair is gorgeous. It's a guys opinion, but my sister has a crush on William Moseley (Peter), why don't you give him a try?

why don't you give him a try?

Myself, I don't give him a try because I'm 25 and he's young and it's wrong, lol.

James M is my crush from the new film. ;)

reply

Well, he is nineteen... Six years is a lot, you're right.

My sister thinks Avoy is cute, but he is odd (goat legs...).

She also likes Oreius. Try it, if you want, but James Avoy is a good guy- LOL!

I love James McAvoy in the recent film but when i was younger i had a huge crush on Peter in the BBC version. I even dreamt i lived in Narnia and he rescued me from some sort of evil and i became his Queen.

reply

lol. When I was younger, I had a crush on Edmund just from reading the books, esp. The Last Battle.

i had a huge crush on edmund, with his cute red hair etc. i then saw the cast reunion on the dvd and saw what he looked like once he grew up and went off him!
James Mcavoy for me from the new film. I went off William Moseley after i wrote to him and he never replied :P

Wow, my story pretty much mirrors yours. Agh, Richard Dempsey! I remember how crushed I was when I was eight and I realized that he was a good 15 years older than me. And Edmund was dreamy later on...

reply

I remember having one with the actress who played susan. i think i was 10 or 11 at the time(saw it in the early 90's)...

reply

I know you posted that a couple years ago, but I had to laugh and nod when I read your post. I had the exact same crushes! And they happened in the same order as yours, as I got older. I remember being so disappointed that Peter wasn't in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Sigh...those were good times. And oh, doesn't hearing the theme music take you back? I do love that music.

reply

I had a huge crush on Peter too.
He was my favourite character & prob cause we were both the oldest. Lol.

I wasn't quite 5 when this was first screened, but my parents videoed it for me & I watched it over & over again until I was about 9, then the videos got accidentally taped over (typical). So I'm delighted to have now got the DVD - I'm watching it this minute, actually. Yes, I do remember rather liking Peter - even though he was only a young boy, he was so noble, & so protective of & affectionate to his siblings. I always hoped my brother would grow up to be like that, but sadly not, lol. But I remember thinking Edmund had really nice eyes.

While I remember "Prince Caspian" being on TV, I don't remember anything about it, which is a bit bizarre, cos I remember "Dawn Treader". However, in the set of the Narnia books I have, there are pictures from both of these adaptations, & Edmund looks a lot more handsome, & older Caspian doesn't look too bad either. I'll look forward to checking them out!

I never saw the new film, but I'm a big James McAvoy fan, so maybe I'd have fancied him in that, though the hairy legs don't sound overly appealing.

I think Peter was my first ever crush! I liked how he was responsible and protective. I also had dreams about him rescuing me in Narnia :) I think a lot of it was also the Britih accent (I'm South African) and Edmund was too whiny and sulky to fancy; and a traitor besides. I went to watch the new movie, determined to hate it because I loved the old one so much, but turns out I love the new one too (still can't decide on my favourite). In the new one I like William Moseley and James McAvoy.

On the subject of outgrowing crushes: I had a major crush on an actor for several years when I was quite young, the actor is two years older than me so by keeping track of him on the internet, he always stayed older. When I finally re-watched the original movie I saw him in, he was nine and I was 15...talk about embarrassing.
