Bubba not in all episodes?
I've noticed Bubba is listed as being in all episodes but he wasn't in some during the later seasons right? I don't think he was in all the movies.

shareBubba was missing from quite a number of episodes in season 6 when the show moved to CBS from NBC. I believe that just before NBC canceled "Heat" the network was in the makings of giving Alan Autry his own crime show, which explained him being out in California, but the show was never picked up.

He didn't appear in Sister, Sister from season 2 and Crackdown from season 3
He started missing more episodes in seasons 6 & 7
And he wasn't in Who Was Geli Bendl? and By Duty Bound
And maybe it was just me but it seemed like Bubba was being pushed aside in favor of Jamison as early as season 6. you saw alot more of Jamison in plainclothes and theres even a scene where Bubba turns down the Chief Detective job in favor of Jamison. my feeling was that O'Connor gave his son a bigger role in hopes of straightening out his life. it seemed in the later seasons Bubba and Jamison switched places and Lonnie was the second in command.
