Any good DVD sets out there? YES!

I'm curious if they have any good quality sets out there?
It's appreciated.

I've heard tons about that set, but I'm not sure. I'll wait on you to get it to make a decision.

Good night, America. Wherever you are.

reply

Okay, as soon as it comes in I'll test out a few episodes and a few of those extras and then I'll let you know.

go to iOffer.com

people on there are selling all kinds of dvd sets. I just ordered one Freddy's Nightmares from a seller. It has 10 dvds and only cost $13.

Look deep enough...you'll find it

I'm seeing no Freddy sets on there at all. Did I miss something?

I actually got a Werewolf set from a seller there before, but the quality was so awful, it wasn't worth the $15 I paid. 8 out of 10 quality? Surrrrre. If it's that cheap, then I imagine it's along the lines of that.

I bought my set from this guy. The set has nice menus and the quality is acceptable.

Just click on one of the transactions and then in the top right corner it'll say "request more from this seller" click it and see if he'll sell you one.

On your PM recommendation, I placed an order a while back. I should have the set soon. Hopefully I find it as enjoyable as you do.

Great! Let me know what you think. I've watched many special features and ten episodes so far and have not had a problem.

Got it a few days ago. Still going through it, but everything seems good. Doesn't look like a fan made set at all, and I've bought a few of other shows. Quality of the episodes is excellent, all things considered.

The extras are insane, and I'm in the middle. You'd think it would be impossible to gather this much stuff, but here it is. The making ofs are my favorites so far.

If you guys are referring to this one:

then yes, it is quite amazing and worth EVERY penny.

reply

Yes, those of us on the Nightmareonelmstreetfilms.com forums who made this set are VERY proud of what we made. I'm "TheNextKrueger" on those forums, and you'll also see my name on the credits screen on the DVD sets.

It took us over 3 years and, literally, several thousands of dollars to create this. A true labor of love. And even though it is THE BEST set you'll find ANYWHERE, we're STILL working on ways to improve it! Believe it or not, we've actually collected so much more material that we're working on expanding the "Unreleased Extras" set from 4 discs to 6!

reply

Looking at the set, I'd believe it cost more to put together, because of quality and how rare a lot of the extras are. The guy I bought from even sent some unadvertised stuff my way, which was extremely nice.

I recently got the UK Blu-Ray set of the original 7 movies, that has episodes 2 and 3 as extras and I have to say, the picture and sound quality is horrendous on the 2 episodes. It's similar to what you'd get by copying a VHS 4 or 5 times to another tape.
