When Blocker pours gasoline on Freddy and throws a match on him, he screams, "I'm free!", it reminded me of the transformation scene in the 1931 version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and he looks in the mirror; Hyde said the same thing!

At the beginning of the show, when Freddy interrupts the news broadcast, it reminded me of the broadcast interruptions that are shown on YouTube.
