Theme Song

Anyone reading this, please answer this question:

Which version of the theme song for "The New Family Feud" did you like better: The one from 1988 or the one from 1994?

For me, it's a tie.

reply

I like both versions. The 1988 theme was good for that particular Feud set,the 1994 version was more hip rock and roll style. Good for it's time.I don't think that the 1988-1993 theme would of gone to well with that new style set.But all together the Family Feud music style used from 1976-1995 is the best. From the Country Style to the Rock Style.

The theme they have now Sucks,And the set does also,But the Richard Dawson Theme was just straight Country-Hillbilly style, And then the Horn part )that reminds me of something Elvis would of used.)Very Good Theme,Then Ray Combs version had a bit more pick up.The 1994 theme was great for the time.I think they can use that theme version now instead of that Cheesy Theme they been using.

For this run I like the Combs theme better.

I think they could use that theme on the current Family Feud. They got a more traditional set complete with a more traditional board, face-off podium, family podiums, family background/entrance era, and opening spiel. Why not make the show more like the Family Feud we know and love and bring back the original music? It doesn't even have to be the 1976 mix. It could be the 1988 mix or 1994 mix. Better yet they could make a new recording of the theme using the original melody. If they can do it for "Jeopardy!" and Drew Carey's Price is Right they certainly can do it for Family Feud. Some thing needs to be done with the current Feud's theme. John Lewis Parkker's horrible party theme is SOOOO annoying and it SUCKS!
