Is there any way to watch?

Is there currently any way to watch any of the episodes? I've been searching online with no luck. At this point I'm not waiting for a DVD release; I would just like to rediscover this show. I'd at least like to watch the complete first season. Any help would be appreciated!

I second that. This was one of my all-time favorite TV shows. And I have not been able to watch it in nearly twenty years.

I am always on the look-out for the release of a DVD set. If you read through other threads on this Message Board, however, it seems that a DVD release is unlikely.

I also never see it being re-run anywhere on TV.

I also check You Tube. One and only one episode is posted there. If you want to watch that episode, the link is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LF2fEoqfFc.

Like you, I wish there were some way for me to watch the old episodes of this great show.

I don't know if a DVD release will come any time soon, but if you search for it on Amazon, they have a "Sign up to notify me when this becomes available" button on the item page (even though no item actually exists). The more people who click to sign up, the more votes the show gets, which could lead to an eventual DVD release. That's what I understand and I figure it's a start, anyway.

Perhaps. But, I'd offer two thoughts:

(1) I very much doubt that the producers of a potential DVD really ever look at or consider the Amazon "wish list". I doubt very much that that is even on their radar, much less a factor in their decision. It's probably more so a marketing tool of Amazon. So that, if and when the item becomes available, Amazon has an instant customer base to sell to.

(2) Also, think about it. How many people actually know about that "sign up on Amazon" feature that you mentioned above? Probably, hardly anyone. So, the number of people who actually do "sign up" will be infinitesimal. And, certainly, not enough to bear any weight in the producer's decision to create a DVD. Which, again, ties in with my point #1, above.

reply

Well, I do know the sign up feature is some sort of metric to measure interest, whether for Amazon alone or for anyone else. Which is why I posted it here--it may not get much notice, but if one person sees it, signs up, and then mentions it to someone else interested in this show, who in turn signs up, then something, however small, has been accomplished. As I said, it's a worth a try and better than doing nothing at all.

I don't disagree with that. Believe me, I am the first person who would love to see this show out on DVD.

However, I think that that "sign up" feature is strictly for Amazon. For marketing, sales, etc. Whatever they need or want it for. Most likely, as I said, an instant customer base once a product becomes available.

I highly doubt that Amazon shares their information with anybody at all. Certainly not Hollywood producers. I am sure that this is proprietary information, which Amazon guards like Fort Knox. No way do they want other third-parties having access to their data and their "stuff" (property). Especially "stuff" upon which they base their business decisions and upon which their profits ride. In other words, stuff that they do not want to fall into the hands of their competitors.

Showing on "Laff."

I noticed that it's on in the Los Angeles area 5 times per day on KABC-DT3 which is a digital channel provided by the ABC affiliate. After a bit of digging I found that the Live Well Network station in LA (KABC-DT3, channel 7.3) has been replaced by the Laff network. Laff was launched less than a week ago on April 15.

From this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laff_%28TV_network%29 it says, "As of April 2015, Laff has current or pending affiliation agreements with television stations in 33 media markets encompassing 21 states (including stations in 15 of the 50 largest Nielsen markets), covering 50% of the United States."

Check the web listing Titan Tv to see if any of your local broadcasters carry the LAFF network on their digital sub channel.

Yes, it's on LAFF TV.

You can't find it on You Tube.

But I did find many episodes on a website similar to You Tube. It is called DailyMotion.com ... the website is here:

http://www.dailymotion.com/us.

Joseph, thank you! I remember there was a way to watch, and it was dailymotion where I was watching these episodes. I never would have remembered, thanks bunches. :)

reply

You're welcome. Yes, I am glad that I stumbled upon that dailymotion.com web-site. Otherwise, I'd never be able to see any episodes.
