my favorite show on there my only favorite show on there charley and Laverne are my favorite carol get on my nerves she like hogging the hole show toward last few seasons u know
shareThey were all great characters: the doctor Dad, the daughter Carol, the nurse Laverne. I loved them.
The ones who got on my nerve were the neighbor Charlie and Carol's boyfriend, Patrick.
I also loved the Kristy McNichol character, Barbara. Too bad she left the show.
I liked Charlie didn't care for patrick though
shareCharlie was OK, but often got to be "too much". Very adolescent. It was funny once in a while. But, he was a one-trick pony. Very one-dimensional.
sharehe kind reminded me of dan fielding from night court they could been releated,
im kind wondering why he kept stalking the poor Weston family even harry camping trip
I never watched Night Court, so I have no idea.
Charlie kept stalking the Weston family in order to add some humor into the scenarios.
But, it was the same exact humor every time (stalking, as you put it). That got pretty old, pretty quick.
Charlie was (or could have been) a funny character. But they over-used him.
I found it on Laff a few months ago and it really brought me back to my child hood. awesome show. Also got to watch Night Court for the first time in many years. Great channel.
shareFor years, I searched on You Tube and Hulu and could never find it.
Then, it started showing up on that "Daily Motion" website.
Then, after many years, the show appeared on the LAFF channel.
However, that's a limited channel. Probably few people get it and even fewer have heard about it.
But, since the show has appeared on LAFF, a lot of people are posting clips and full episodes to You Tube and Hulu and such.
Finally!
I just discovered that I have LAFF TV on my cable and was so excited to see that "Empty Nest" is in their line up. I also found out that another channel called GET TV is right under it on my cable line up and I am watching another old favorite on that channel "The Equalizer". It seems like a cop type channel with old school stuff. I am happy about both. Antenna TV isn't bad but these are shows that I haven't seen in years.
shareYes, this show (Empty Nest) is an oldie but a goodie.
It was a long-lost gem.
Without re-runs of the show, it's too bad that the younger generation would have missed out on it altogether.
And they did -- in fact -- miss out on it for some 25+ years.
