Hah, thanks for that. It's funny: I couldn't remember a thing about the theme song until I read an imdb review for the show that mentioned the "deaaarr jooohhnn" theme, and bam, there that woman's voice was in my head.

Incidentally, this theme tune is exactly the same as the one used on the original British series of Dear John.

Just something I found interesting. Wendy Talbot is the one who sings the Theme Song for Dear John. Here is a link to one of her albums on Amazon. She actually sings Christian Music. But...now I know what she looks like.
