I just loved this show, and would really like to buy the series if it were available on DVD. Does anyone know if they intend on releasing something soon? I hate it when they release a popular show on DVD, decades after the show had its popularity.
I totally agree with you. This was a phenomenally great show. WAY too slick and sharp for kids so why the hell did they put it on Saturday morning??? totally stupid. should have had a night slot. but I think in those days they didn't think like that; the thinking was, hey, if it's animated, it's on Saturday morning. wasn't until the Simpsons that there was a change in thinking. I bet a million bucks that if this had been on an evening slot, it would have lasted a LOT longer than one measly season.
I wish I knew when it was coming out on DVD. I don't. will it ever be out?? I dunno. but it is encouraging that another show, not animated, but with a similar kind of totally wacked perspective, Get A Life with Chris Elliot, DID come out on DVD. that's a GREAT show. I loved it. at least we have 8 episodes on DVD.
I've seen it for sale elsewhere, and prior to it being re-released on Boomerang recently, I believe those were always rips of the set I made myself. (And I'm sure people will continue to profit off of my new set rather than make their own.) I've even seen my Ed artwork used on the covers of other people's sets. Some people. :P
I got my set from you, NeitherSparky, and it is great! It really is as good as you can get unless they ever do release an official version. So thanks for letting me watch one of my favorite cartoons again!
Yeah, this was a great show! I recorded it originally on saturday mornings complete with original commercials.I even have the Ed Grimley halloween costume which came out in Fall 1988! :) This was a totally decent show-if I must say! Cattman
