What a brilliant show....

This series has only ever been transmitted once. It is a sad reflection of Britain today that due to the PC brigade this will probably never be televised again i.e. using a disability (extreme short sightedness) for laughs. The fact is there is nothing remotely offensive about this series in fact it's an extremely pleasant look at life of yesteryear. I've watched the 6 episodes over the last 2 nights for the first time since it was transmitted and as I had done then as a teenager I thoroughly enjoyed it.
