orkney scenes

is there anyone out there? my wife and I are sure that in one of the series there were scenes in orkney. we have just watched every Beiderbecke episode we could find, but no orkney scenes. Can anyone solve our own little Beiderbeck mystery? we send this into the ether more in hope than in expectation.

Just in case the original poster is still around or just in case anyone else is wondering the same thing - No, they don't go anywhere near Orkney in The Beiderbecke Connection. They hardly ever leave the Leeds area. They make a few trips to "the border" (the Yorkshire borders) but that's about it.

In The Beiderbecke Tapes they go on a school trip to Amsterdam and finish up in Edinburgh. That's the closest they get to Orkney at any point in the trilogy

You're mixing it up with 'Oliver's Travels'. Also written by Alan Plater, with a 'Beiderbecke-esque' plot.
