Zalia Critzia case (Portland Oregon pickax murder)

I didn't see this when it aired but I slightly knew the man who was the victim. What I'm always curious about, among other things, is she moved in with him without even knowing him and never worked the entire five years they were together. They met through a personals ad and she moved from Texas to Portland, Oregon. What was she going to do if he decided to unload her when she first got there? I seriously doubt she had much money.

I personally don't believe the story at all that she wanted to leave but somehow he was keeping her there because from what he (Frank Johnson) said, she didn't have two nickels to rub together. It was a very odd relationship they had and he never actually tried to explain it, only that it was non-sexual.

I would of thought he may have been more cautious, however, because he told me he had been involved with another transsexual near New Orleans for about a year that didn't work out.
