How does this stand opposed to his other films?

I saw this film last month. I think it was a bit disappoint compared to his other Chinese films. I personally think that the shootouts could have been more intense and better.
The plot was not as good as his other Chinese gunplay films. I saw this film without Eng subtitles, only French. So, i did only recognise a few French words and some Cantonese words i knew what meant.
