OK, I kind of liked this movie

Is that bad? lol

I was in a watch a movie on HBO mood yesterday, and this was on yesterday so I gave it a go. I usually go for films that I've never seen before. I never saw Madonna in a movie before (for better or for worse) so I'd figured that would help get me interested in the movie. It was kind of cute.

The Nikki character reminds me of Harley Quinn But Harley's voice is cuter. lol

I love this movie! I'm a fan of Madonna and yeah, I know she isn't the best actress but she can do comedy very well and I thought she was perfect for the role of Nikki Finn. She really brought fun and life to the role and this film is a must for Madonna fans.

"Who's that Girl" as well as "Desparately Seeking Susan" are just two of those movies you're in the mood to watch on a rainy Saturday afternoon when you need you 80's nostalgia fix. "Who's that Girl" is a throwback to the slapstick comedies of the 40's (just think of a Three Stooges short) that's innocent and not made to be taken seriously. No muss, no fuss. As Nikki Finn, hell, if Drew Barrymore was old enough, she could've pulled it off, along with the likes of Geena Davis or Goldie Hawn (if she were younger)! But I can't imagine anyone else OTHER than Madonna playing Nikki, because she put her own spin on the character. I was a fan of Madonna in her early years ("True Blue") or her "Material Girl" era before she she delved into her S&M stage. But that's Madonna for ya--she always re-invents herself. Now if she could only find the right movie role.....
